Travel and COVID-19

Entry visa requirements

No - if working no more than 14 days.


Working fewer than 90 days?

Creative and performing artists and 'administrative or technical worker involved in ensuring the performances' are exempt from work permits as long as the stay does not exceed 14 days. (Immigration Law, section 9(3)1).

Working for more than 90 days?

Residence permit with right to employment required.

Employed and self-employed options.

Additional requirements

Residence permit:

  • Criminal record certificate
  • Proof of means of subsistence (currently equivalent to €2286 per month)
  • Can be applied for either via the Embassy or directly in Latvia (there is a forwarding fee if applying at the Embassy)

Cost

€80 for C visa

€20 for granting additional right to employment

€100 for residence permit (within 30 days).

€200 (within 10 working days)

€400 (within 5 working days)
