Health and wellbeing series: Health in the gig economy
Whilst some musicians can take advantage of the freelance, short-term contract world of the gig economy, the instability and varied hours can take a toll on health. In this free webinar, Nick Pahl, CEO of the Society of Occupational Medicine and BAPAM Director Claire Cordeaux look at the potential stresses of this type of working, including musculoskeletal problems, mental health, vocal and hearing issues. They also touch upon the structure of the gig economy, the government policy that relates to it and lessons that can be learnt from other sectors.
