Dr Alison Daubney, University of Sussex

Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Sussex and author of Play: The psychology of optimal music performance

Dr Alison Daubney (PhD) is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Sussex, mentor, researcher, curriculum developer and trainer. Together, Alison and her husband Gregory Daubney have written Performance Anxiety: A practical guide for music teachers and Play: A psychological toolkit for optimal music performance published by the ISM Trust.

Alison and Gregory have undertaken research considering the health and wellbeing of young musicians, including those in a diverse range of challenging circumstances and in mental health settings.
