Alexander Parsons, Musician and composer

Alexander Parsons’ work includes the landmark series Stephen: The Murder That Changed a Nation (BBC 1); Grayson Perry: Rites of Passage (Channel 4); award-winning documentary series American High School (BBC3); and the BAFTA-nominated Channel 4 documentaries Muslim Drag Queens and Grayson Perry’s Dream House. Alexander has composed scores to three BAFTA-winning animation series': I Can’t Go to School Today, Seeking Refuge and Animated Minds.

Alexander plays electric violin and Eurorack synthesiser in Miro Shot, as well as composing orchestral arrangements for the international collective. In 2017, the band held a residency at the Institute of Modern Art, Amsterdam, in the world’s first multi-sensory live VR and Mixed Reality concert and have just completed their first album, signed to Believe and published by Warp.
