RPS Music Awards winners announced

The Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards for outstanding achievement in 2011 were presented at the Dorchester hotel last night by BBC Radio 3’s Katie Derham and Petroc Trelawny.

The ISM sponsored the Opera & Music Theatre category and we are pleased to announce that the jury chose English National Opera’s production of Eugene Onegin for its superb orchestral playing and singing led by Music Director Edward Gardner which made a familiar work fresh and dynamic for today’s audiences.

Congratulations to Edward Gardner and all the team at ENO.

Further information about all the category winners is available on the RPS website.

A special RPS Music Awards programme will be broacast by BBC Radio 3 on Sunday 13 May at 2pm.
