ISM joins All-Party Parliamentary Groups in highlighting consequences of Brexit for the performing arts

Six All-Party Political Groups and their secretariats (including the ISM) have written to the government to highlight the devastating consequences of the Brexit deal for the performing arts across the UK.

The letter highlighted four principal areas for which action is required to safeguard the future of the performing arts, including possible solutions:

  • Movement of people (visas and work permits)
  • Movement of goods (cabotage, carnets, CITES and NI-GB/GB-NI restrictions)
  • Social security coordination
  • Funding
