ISM Chief Executive featured in Metro newspaper
Deborah Annetts, Chief Executive of the Incorporated Society of Musicians, was featured in today’s Metro newspaper alongside colleagues from the #IncludeDesign campaign.
Metro carried a photo (above) of the hand-in of a letter to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, calling for the consultation on the proposed English Baccalaureate (EBacc) to be extended and the full impact of the absence of creative and vocational subjects to be properly considered.
The Bacc for the Future campaign, co-ordinated by the ISM, together with sister campaign Include Design, submitted the letter on Wednesday 23 January. Alongside Deborah and over 100 other signatories, the letter was signed by Artistic Director of the National Theatre Sir Nicholas Hytner, Chief Executive of BPI Geoff Taylor, Chief Executive of EMI Music Sound Foundation Janie Orr, CEO of the Design Council John Mathers, Director of the National Portrait Gallery Sandy Nairne, General Secretary of NAHT Russell Hobby and Cisco IBSG Director Clive Grinyer.
