DCMS publishes no-deal touring advice

On Wednesday 2 October, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport published its latest advice for arts, cultural, creative, heritage and sports organisations on touring Europe in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

Deborah Annetts, Chief Executive of Incorporated Society of Musicians said:

‘We welcome the recent advice published by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport for touring musicians post Brexit. However, the reality remains that a no-deal Brexit will make it impossible for many musicians to tour in the EU because of the additional costs and uncertainties they will face. The Government must support this critical part of the UK’s creative industries. If they do not, then not only will musicians suffer but so will the soft power and reputation of the UK. ’
