ISM named Individual Member Association of the Year

The ISM was named Individual Member Association of the Year at the UK Association Awards 2021.

Honouring the ISM with this prestigious award, the judges’ citation read:

'ISM has a strong member-centric approach towards both the challenges of COVID-19 and Brexit that its members face with a wide range of achievements under incredibly difficult conditions. Also, they are clearly able to strategise well and capitalise on their strengths!'

The awards, now in their 18th edition, recognise and promote excellence within membership organisations and are presented by the Association of Association Executives (AAE). In an online ceremony that took place on 15 December, 11 awards were made to the standout organisations and individuals of the past 18 months that have shown exceptional dedication to members, achieved tangible successes, and demonstrated effective leadership.

Deborah Annetts, ISM Chief Executive, said:

'I am extremely proud that our campaigning and lobbying and extensive support for members who have, and continue to face, exceptionally challenging circumstances has been recognised by this award. Our ability as an independent organisation to respond to the needs of the membership and wider sector is second to none. I would like to thank the ISM staff team and Board for their hard work and commitment which has made this award possible.'
