We offer regularly updated advice in key areas that affect musicians, including Brexit and COVID-19, and keep members up-to-date with news emails full of need-to-know information for navigating the profession.

Support with travelling abroad for work
Get advice and support for travelling abroad for your career in music. Our visa and work permit advice service is run in partnership with entertainment visa experts Viva la Visa, and offers advice tailored to your situation. Members can also access discounted ATA carnets in order to access documentation that eases the process of travelling with an instrument or equipment in 70 countries worldwide.
We have a wide range of pages covering health and wellbeing topics including mental and physical health. ISM members can also contact our 24-hour personal advice and support line for professional help, including phone counselling.
Based on member feedback, we launched a range of services available to members through our sister charity, the ISM Members Fund. We offer a free physiotherapy service for members as well as a counselling service, which includes face-to-face counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
