What is the ISM?

We are the UK's professional body for musicians and a subject association for music.

Established in 1882, we are a unique professional community of nearly 9,500 musicians, working in all areas of music; from stage and studio to classroom and office. Our members receive a unique set of benefits, career essentials that you can't live without in these challenging times.

How much can you save as a graduate?

We understand that finances can be tight at the beginning of your music career so we have reduced our graduate membership rate to £50 (70% off our £178 full rate membership). The graduate rate increases to £110 in the fourth year of membership.

This means that you get three years of membership for less than the price of one.

If you have graduated with your first music degree within the last ten years you can take advantage of our graduate discount.

First year of graduate membership£50
Second year of graduate membership£50
Third year of graduate membership£50
Fourth year of graduate membership£110

If you were previously a student member, we will give you an extra year of membership at £50.

You can sign up for a year at a time. You don't have to commit to multiple years of membership.
