The ISM's 2022 fees survey

Our annual survey of music teaching, examining and accompanying rates is now available online. The continued disruption to the industry caused by COVID-19, which meant that much work was cancelled or moved online, has been taken into account within the questions, and we will use your responses to deliver a comprehensive report of the situation this year.

Your participation is incredibly important because the more musicians who complete the survey the more authoritative the survey results will be as an indicator of what musicians have been charging.

The deadline for submissions is 17 December 2021. The results will be published in spring 2022.

The ISM's 2021 music education survey

Our intention with this short survey is to gather more evidence in connection with:

  • the National Plan for Music Education and the refreshed plan due in 2022
  • the impact of accountability measures

The information that you provide us with on these issues will help inform our discussions with the Department for Education regarding music education policy and the refreshed National Plan for Music Education. By taking a few minutes to help us you will help us form an accurate picture of music education as it stands currently and how it can be improved.

The deadline for submissions is 30 November 2021.
