The National Schools Symphony Orchestra (NSSO) would love to hear from you!

The annual course, in July, is seeking double bass players for its three orchestras, offering opportunities for young bassists from ABRSM grade 3 upwards.

John Madden, Artistic Director of NSSO, says: 'Being part of an orchestra is an invaluable experience; playing great music, to a high standard, with like-minded young people, in the incomparable surroundings of Malvern College is an opportunity not to be missed!

“Conductors Richard Dickins and Leandro Silvera lead a first class team of instrumental tutors and pastoral staff, ensuring a superb musical experience.'

It’s the third year the orchestra has seen a shortage of double bass applicants. If you’d like to find out more about NSSO or are interested in applying, please visit www.nsso.org.
