The National Children's Choir of Great Britain

The National Children's Choir of Great Britain Easter course at Shrewsbury School was a great success, bringing together 217 young people with a passion for singing. The choir enjoyed meeting ICCP participants and welcoming visitors to the first NCCGB Open Day.

They are now preparing for a busy Summer course, when they will record a CD which will include Everyday Wonders: The Girl from Aleppo, their 20th anniversary work commissioned from Cecilia McDowall, which was premiered last year. On Saturday 3 August the choirs’ achievements will be shared with families, friends and the general public in a concert at St Chad’s Church, Shrewsbury.

After 14 years General Manager, Kim Reffell, will retire from the choir at the end of September and they are currently looking for the right person to take the choir forward. All the team at NCCGB wish Kim well in her retirement and look forward to welcoming her back as a member of the Board of Trustees.
