COVID-19: Vaccinations and advice on travelling abroad for work

Please read our advice pages relevant to the nation(s) you work in. They cover regulations in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Please note that even if you have received a COVID-19 vaccination, you must still follow all government guidance and rules, as it may still be possible to spread the virus after a vaccination. See health guidance on vaccinations for England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland for further information.

Travelling abroad

From 4am on 4 October 2021, international travel rules will be simplified.

The amber and green lists will be removed and replaced with a single red list of countries and simplified travel measures for arrivals from the rest of the world.

Detailed information for both fully vaccinated and non-vaccinated travellers are available under the national government websites as follows:

Northern Ireland

Wales *

* For Wales, the requirement for pre-departure testing for those fully vaccinated will be removed but a decision on moving away from PCR tests is still to be made.

England *

* For England, the quarantine exemption will remain for paid, professional performers, pending the specific details. Please refer to both Government guidance and Arts Council England for further information about the performing arts professionals exemption.
