Stuart Beattie

Stuart Beattie is a vocal and piano teacher, accompanist, organist and Trinity College London classical and jazz examiner. He is based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, and combines peripatetic teaching with being the Director of Music at Harryville Presbyterian Church.

As a performer, Stuart has been heard on BBC One, Channel 4, BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio Ulster. Additionally, he has worked as an accompanist for Ulster University, Mid & East Antrim Borough Council, the Abbey Singers, and many local schools.

From 2011-2013, Stuart taught music at an international school, before becoming the Director of Music at High Kirk Presbyterian Church, a post he held for six years. Stuart is also a keen advocate for local festivals, and has been on the executive committee of the Ballymena Festival of Music, Speech and Dance, a festival affiliated with the British and International Federation of Festivals which receives over 2,800 entries per year.
