Mahaliah is a violinist and educator based in Nottingham, UK. A versatile musician, she is a founder member of the Dunev Quartet and enjoys a versatile career of freelance performing and arranging. She has also worked, performed and collaborated with artists such as British Composer Errollyn Wallen, Grammy Award-winning percussionist Lekan Babalola and Haitian-American singer-songwriter and violinist Germa Adan. For three years she was a violinist in Joe Broughton's Folk Ensemble.

Since studying at the Purcell School and graduating from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2019, Mahaliah is focused on a career as an educator, community music facilitator and advocate for music for social change. She is passionate about working with young people and developing essential life skills through engaging with music and the arts. In 2017, her work in this domain was recognised by the Association of Jamaican Nationals who awarded her with the Be Inspired Youth Award. She is currently doing a Master’s Degree in music education at Trinity Laban.

Mahaliah is involved with many music for social change initiatives and is a trustee for Awards for Young Musicians and on the advisory board for Music Masters, London.
