Elizabeth Fagg is a pianist and accompanist. She is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and also has a diploma from the Institute of Education (University of London).
She has had a varied career, teaching music in school at secondary level and working as the first peripatetic piano teacher and accompanist for the County of Bedfordshire in the time of Michael Rose.
More recently she has taught piano and worked as an accompanist at St Albans High School for Girls. Many of Beth’s pupils have gone on to have successful musical careers.
Elizabeth Fagg was involved with the National Children’s String and Wind Orchestras attending their courses as coach and pianist.
She loves working with young instrumentalists and singers for examinations and diplomas.
Elizabeth Fagg is a trustee of Harpenden Music Foundation which supports young people in the Hertfordshire area with grants and bursaries to attend courses and masterclasses and in some cases music tuition at postgraduate level.
She is a keen choral singer and a bad Bridge player and for many years has spent the summer sailing with her husband Steve.
Elizabeth Fagg has been a member of the ISM for over 40 years and remembers joining “for the discounts”!
She has previously served on the council and as Warden of the Private Teacher’s Section.
