Complete our fees survey now!

19 January 2010

Our new fees questionnaire is now ready for you to complete online. This time, the survey focuses on fees charged by music teachers in September 2009.

You have to answer no more than eight straightforward questions about your teaching and rates. If you're a music teacher, please complete the survey questionnaire by 28 February.

You can access the questionnaire at www.surveymonkey.com/s/ISMFees2009. The password you will need is ISMFees2009.

This survey is important for you. Firstly, we will publish the results to give you a guide as to what music teachers in general were charging at the start of the current academic year. This should help you in negotiating and setting your own future fees for both private and school teaching. Secondly, we are considering using the survey results to resume recommending fees for employed visiting music teachers in schools; the survey results would help us to decide what levels of fees to recommend for 2010/11.

It is vital that as many music teachers as possible complete the survey questionnaire. This will help make the survey a truly authoritative statement of fees which carries influence with your school employers and your pupils’ parents.

Please help us to help you.
