In order to join you can show us evidence of a degree or graduate diploma in music. Simply send us a photocopy of your certificate or a letter from the awarding body after you've submitted your application.
Alternatively, if you do not have a degree or graduate diploma in music, you can join by asking two professional musicians to support your application, one of whom should be an existing member of the ISM. They'll need to confirm that you've reached a standard of musicianship equivalent to that required to obtain a degree or graduate diploma in music. Just provide their contact details when you apply.
There are no qualifications needed for associate membership.
