The National Youth Music Camps are open to 13 to 17 year olds. There is no minimum grade of entry, but a love of music and an enthusiasm for music-making is essential! Teenage Camps are priced at £280 and Junior Camps are priced at £260.
The weekly camps take place during 22 July to 11 August 2012 in the Milton Keynes area.

Sound and Music are looking for talented young composers, aged 14 -18,* with a commitment to creating original music and a desire to learn more. Successful applications will demonstrate a talent for composition and notation (but notation can range from traditional western classical to chord charts and graphic scores to text instructions). Closing date for applications is 30 March 2012.

This is an opportunity for 30 gifted and talented young jazz musicians, aged 14 -18, to work on small group improvisational jazz, with some of the country’s leading performers and educators. Summer School students are selected by auditions which take place during the Easter holidays. The auditions are free of charge, whilst the cost of the residential week is £350.

Professional Development lies at the heart of the British Branch of the European String Teachers’ Association and each year the Summer School draws together a world-class faculty of teacher-presenters to share experiences and pedagogic insights into teaching and playing string instruments. The 2012 Summer School promises an inspiring series of workshops, lectures, demonstrations and concerts. Participants range from young professionals to semi-retired players giving a unique mix of experiences and opportunity for sharing of ideas and knowledge. Informal chamber music groups spring up every evening around suppertime and after the concert.
